INTRODUCTION
This Air Ion Tester is designed for testing negative & positive air ion concentration of air ion generator. With it you can estimate whether the air ion generator or air purifier operate in good state.

The reading of this tester is correlative to the air ion concentration, but not exact the number of it. To make the reading display the concentration, you may calibrate the reading of this tester with a standard Air Ion Detector, as DLY-3 Air Ion Detector.

It can be hung like a necklace used as decorations or packed in bags.
This tester is suit for all kinds of positive or negative air ion generator.

OPERATION
  1. Put the switch to ON position.
  2. Keep your finger touch on the square metal of the front panel and approach to the Air Ion Generator. The result is higher if the tester is close to the Ion Generator. But don³t be too close to avoid influencing the test result.
  3. Do not touch the rear square metal of the tester when testing. There is an induction panel on the back.
  4. If the reading displays "+", it means the ions are positive; if it displays "-", it means the ions are negative. If you want to know the more exact value of the air ion concentration, you may calibrate it with DLY-3 Air Ion Detector. Finding out the distance that the reading of KT-401 is equal to DLY-3. Then keep this distance to test the air ion generator.
¡¡		 KT-401P NEGTIVE AIR ION TESTER
  1. Model KT-401P is a new design of mini air ion tester. It can keep the peak value (maximum reading) of negative air ion on the LCD.So, it make the reading more stable and more easy to read.
  2. Before each measuring, be sure to slip the power switch to off position. Starting to switch the KT-401P in a distance far away from ion sources ( ion generator or air purifier) to let first reading come to zero, or close to zero.
  3. Forward the KT -401P towards ion sources and move it closer to .You will find, the more close the large the reading is.So, keep a distance to get a standard reading is very important.
  4. The maximum reading in your test will stay on the LCD until you switch of the power.
  5. Try to switch off the tester when you find the Zero Reading is too large, and start a test again.

How to use

  • Operation:
    remove the protective cap. first rinse the electrode with distilled water, and suck it with filter paper. turn the meter on by pressing the on key. immerse the ph meter electrode in the solution to be tested. stir gently and wait for the reading to stabilize. after use. rise the electrode with water to minimize contamination. turn the meter on by pressing the off key. always replace the protective cap after use.

  • Calibration:
    immerse the electrode in PH6.86(under the temperature of 25°C ) standard buffer solution of phosphate, and gently shake the electrode. regulate the trimmer with a screwdriver until the buffer solution value corresponding to the measurement temperature is obtained. immerse the electrode in ph 4.01 or ph 9.18 the standard buffer solution of borax. after about one minute, until the buffer solution value corresponding to the measurement temperature is obtained.

  • Important:
    the instrument¡¯s ph range must be re-calibrated whenever. approximately one month has passed from the last calibration. the electrode has been used in particularly taxing conditions. the utmost accuracy is required.

  • Battery install:
    If the meter can not be switched on or the display fades, to change batteries, pull out the battery case and replace batteries. Pay attention to the polarity of battery.

  • Warranty:
    These instruments are warranted from all defects in material and manufacturing for a period of one year from the date of purchase. WHAT IS TDS?
Total Dissolved Solids(TDS)are the total weight of all solids (minerals, salts, or metals) that are dissolved in a given volume liter(mg/L), or in parts per million(ppm).
The lower TDS level in the water, the more efficiently your body's cells actually get hydrated by the water you drink. The higher TDS level in the water, the grater the probability of harmful contaminants that can pose health risks of hinder the on the cellular level

The EPA'S maximum contaminant levels of TDS in secondary drinking water is 500mg/L (500ppm)

  • Instructions for the TDS meter:
    1. Remove the protective cap.
    2. Turn the tds meter on. the on/off switch is located on the panel.
    3. Immerse meter into the water/solution up to the maximum immersion level(2'')
    4. Wait until the display stabilizes. the tds meter automatically compensates for temperature variations. Once the readout is stabilized(10-30 seconds),press the hold button to view the reading out of the water.
    5. To use the thermometer, turn the meter on and press the temp button. Pressing the temp button again will switch it to tds mode.
    6. After usage, shake off water from your meter or wipe it with a tissue.
    7. Do not touch the metal probes. Clean the probes with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab.

  • CALIBRATION:
    Your meter has been calibrated in our factory with international standard calibration solution, which is suitable for most applications. Recalibration may be necessary from time-to-time depending on usage.

  • Three Year Limited Warranty:
    This product is warranted to the purchaser against material and workmanship for three (3) years from the date of purchase.
    What is covered: Repair of parts and labor, or replacement at the company's option. Transportation charges to the purchaser.
    What is not covered: Transportation charges to the company. Damages from abuse or improper maintenance (see operating instructions and precautions).
