Distance explosive/drug locator is a big revolution in the drug and explosive detection field.
It's used to detect if an area has explosive/drug and detect the direction. Different from other products in the market, it can penetrate the walls, various metals, cement, lead seal container, freight container, vacuum bottle, earth and freezing layer.
Other explosive/drug detectors in the market are only close detection (few centimeter) and have disadvantages like high error rate, many consumption materials, and being easily polluted.

DDD02 CONTRABAND DETECTOR

Functions:

DDD02 is a kind of portable contraband detector used to inspect hidden drug, explosive and other contraband inside a suspicious object.
The device can scan various contraband by gamma radiation which has strong penetrability to various objects such as metal, rubber, wood, fiber and other materials. It has features of high sensitivity, instantaneous response, easy operation etc. It is a effective and advanced equipment for rummaging drug, suppress smuggling, security inspection and criminal measurement.
When the detecting face closes with some interlayer, which hides other objects, the monitor will show different density number. That says there has the suspicious product in the interlayer. It is an effective and advanced piece of equipment for security inspection purposes.

Basic Structure & Composition
DDD02 is composed of main, subsidiary, long pole and regulator. Main as Shown in the Fig:
- On panel: 3 1/2 digital LCD display (1), display mode button (2), display lock button (3), function setting \ parameter calibration button (4).
- On the front side: power supply \ radiation source trigger (5), beeper (6).
- On the right side: jack of charge (7), and jack of the earphone(8).
- On the back side : backlight button (9), power supply \ radiation source trigger alarm staff (10).

- On pane: 3 1/2 digital LCD display (1), display mode button (2), display lock button (3), function setting \ parameter calibration button (4).
- On the left side: power button (11), jack of charge (7)
- On the right side: jack of the earphone (8).

Preparation for Operation
The following preparations must be done for the reliability of measurement:
1. Self- Regulate:
  Place the detector on the regulator, then press the trigger(5). The LCD display the value "100" with normal fluctuations after 5 minutes. If the displayed value has overmuch fluctuations above or below the value of "100", you must repeat the following regulation procedure. While press the "setting" button (4) and the "mode" button (2), the detector will diagnose automatically for 10 seconds and send out audio alarm for 8 times simultaneously. Press "display" button (3) after the alarm cease, normally, the LCD will display "ok" and the value about "100", which means the recalibration procedure has be achieved. If there are some errors during this period, please look up the table of error information in appendix end of this instruction.(It is suggested that calibration be performed monthly or quarterly in order to insure the detector’s normal operation.)
2. Function Switch & Setting
  DDD02 CONTRABAND DETECTOR has special "density prompt tone" switch and "alarm sensitivity" selector. Operator can select corresponding switch status and sensitivity level according to personal need.
  (1) "Density Prompt Tone" setting
  Operator can detect more conveniently according as the changes of the displayed value and the changes of the prompt tone’s alternation in the "mode 0". The setting method of this function is: Turn on the detector. The LCD display "Ed0" by pressing the "setting" button (4). Then, you can set the status of "density prompt tone" which is "on" or "off". You can lock the setting you need by merely pressing the "lock" button (3). The trigger must remain pressed during this period.
  (2) "Alarm Sensitivity" Setting
  The "alarm sensitivity" has 5 levels in the "mode 1"or the "mode 2" (the detailed operation process in the latter "general operation"). Generally, it is suggested to set the third level, making sensitivity lower in the forth level or the fifth level and higher in the first level or the second level. The setting method of this function is: Turn on the detector. The LCD display "Ed1" by a second press of the "setting" button (4), then you can see the sensitivity in the "mode 1" by a single press of the "mode" (2); the LCD display "Ed2" by a third press of the "regulation" button (4), then you can see the sensitivity in the "mode 2" by a single press of the "mode" (2) , you can lock the setting you need by merely pressing the "lock" button (3).
3. The Setting of Normal Status
  Normally, "density prompt tone" in the "mode 0" is in the "off" condition; "alarm sensitivity" in the "mode 1" is in the third level; "alarm sensitivity" in the "mode 3" is in the second level.
  The method of resuming the initial value of "density prompt tone" and "alarm sensitivity" is: The LCD display "pp" by holding the trigger pressed and pressing "calibration" button for about 5 seconds, which means the detector has resumed the normal setting.
General Operation
1. Three modes
  Three modes of operation are available, which are the "measurement of random absolute density" (mode 0), the "measurement of comparable absolute density" (mode 1) and the "measurement of comparable relative density" (mode 2).
  (1) measurement of random absolute density (mode 0) The "measurement of random absolute density"(mode 0) is obtained by merely pressing the trigger. Place the detector back on the surface of the suspect object, then the detector begins to scan at the rate of 20-30cm/sec. You can identify whether the suspect materials exist according to the abnormal changes in density or the abnormal changes in the prompt tone’s alternation (make the "density prompt tone" on).
  (2) "measurement of comparable absolute density" (mode 1) Place the detector steady on the surface of the suspect objects while operating in the "mode 0". Then, the detector reads automatically the density value of the object for 2 seconds and sends out the prompt tone for 8 times by a single press of the "mode" button (4) simultaneously. The density value is stored as a data base. Here, the detector has be in the "mode 1". In the "mode 1", the beeper will alarm each 1/4 sec if the density of object significantly changes above or below the stored data.
  (3) "measurement of comparable relative density" (mode 2). The detector will enter into "mode 2" by a single of press the "mode" button (4) while working in the "mode1". In the "mode 2", the density value is displayed as a relative value. The beeper will alarm each 1/4 sec if the density of object significantly changes above or below the stored data.
2. Backlight Control
  The display will be brightly in dark spaces when the "backlight" button is pressed and the trigger is pressed .
3. Display Lock
  The "lock" button is useful when the operator samples concealed in awkward spaces, behind tires, under table tops or behind objects. The display value is locked and stops the sampling by a single of press the "lock" button; the detector resume by a second of press.
4. Earphone
  There is a jack of earphone (8). The earphone is plugged in when the operator don't want others to hear any changes of sound.
5. Charge:
  The charger is plugged in when the display shows "LOBAT". At that time, the charger displays red and when finishing , it displays green.
6. Usage of the longer pole:
  Fixing the Main: Loosen the lock of fixing flame on the top of the long pole. Then fix the main of the equipment on the flame and lock ( as the next Fig).
Fixing the subsidiary: Relax the screw on the end of the long pole to bare the metal pothook. Then hang on the subsidiary at a hole on the base and screw down (as the Fig).

After the installing is completed, insert three poles one by one and screw down to lengthen the pole.
Attentions
1. DDD02 CONTRABAND DETECTOR is a device with slight radioactivity, so operator must be pay attention to security.
2. When the detector is working, the back of the detector must avoid aiming at the any part of body within 1 meter.
3. For saving power and avoiding pollution of radiation, Operator should have a good habit of shutting off the detector when the measurement has be achieved.
4. The detector is broken during the working process, please appropriately arrange metal elements with radiation mark to avoid losing within it.
5. Keep the detector within the dry box, avoiding damp.
6. Replace the battery monthly or quarterly. Please take out the battery from the detector for avoiding leakage of electricity when the detector is not used for a long time.
7. In order to avoid disturbing please insure just one suit of equipment (include main & subsidiary)is used at one time, when using several detectors.
